Churches Together in June

Lyndon is part of Hatchford Brooke Churches Together group which includes our immediate neighbours of St Mary’s and the URC in Hobbs Moat Road and our Sheldon neighbours of St Giles, Sheldon Community Church and St Thomas Moore to name but a few.

The group’s Annual General Meeting will take place on Thursday 24th June 7.30pm at Lyndon and all are very welcome. The speaker will be Peter Walker from St Mary’s who will come to share on the topic of Pilgrimage. He organises regular tours to the Holy Land and the Oberammergau Passion Play and will be bringing his slides and inspirational stories. It will be a good evening of fellowship and spiritual sustenance so please come along. You do not have to be a regular supporter of Churches Together to come to this event, all will be very welcome.

Churches Together are also considering their programme for the new church year starting in September and a popular suggestion is the churches working together to rehearse and perform a Roger Jones musical. If this is something that you would like to be a part of please come and see me.

Lead by St Mary’s the group is also planning a 10 day trip to the Holy Land from the 8th – 17th November 2011. This includes visiting Bethlehem, Nazareth and the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem with a well informed guide. It is an opportunity to explore matters of faith within the landscape and politics of the place and to enjoy the fellowship of our churches together friends.
