Holy Week & Easter in Stained Glass 2
Garden of Gethsemane
Their artistic links took the form of songs and poetry particularly exploring the words of Graham Kendrick song Servant King. The second verse of this song speaks of Jesus being in the garden of tears, where our heavy load he chose to bear. The children took this line and explored it visually producing a picture of tears, in different shades and hues of blue. If you look closely you will see the children have included their prayers on some of the tear drops.
