Holy Week & Easter in Stained Glass 4

Artistically this is an interpretation of the 635 ton statue entitled Christ the Redeemer, that blesses the city and harbour of Rio de Janiero in Brazil.
When the sun shines behind this picture, there is something in the clean lines and the simple and clear interpretation of this picture by Women’s Fellowship that speaks to me of the words of the communion liturgy where we say “Dying, you destroyed our death. Rising, you restored our life. Lord Jesus, come in glory.” This is not a revived body, this is new life that energises and renews our life.
