Food for Thought - Profiles
ERNEST HARRIS is 23 years old and comes from The Gambia, via London; he is a second year student. Before coming to Cliff he attended Westminster Central Hall Methodist Church, and worked for Westminster City Council. He loves evangelism, worship, preaching, theatre, volleyball and football. He has been involved previously in evangelism, discipleship and youth work.
JOEL BOTHAM is 20 years old and comes from Chesterfield. He is a first year student. Before coming to Cliff he worked as a youth development worker and on a summer camp with disadvantaged children. He enjoys climbing, kayaking, caving, trampolining, and working with children and youth. His work experience also includes catering, singing and outdoor activities.
IAN BURGESS is 18 and comes from Watford; he is a first year student. Before coming to Cliff, Ian was in fulltime education alongside being involved in youth work and church activities. Ian is interested in computing, technology, outdoor pursuits and reading. He has previously been involved with leading events, leading a Christian Union at school, and leading Bible studies.
ANNELEEN VERLINDEN is a Gap year student. She is 18 years old and comes from Belgium. Before coming to Cliff she was studying at school. She enjoys dancing, listening to music, meeting up with friends and spending time with God. She has also done some drama and public reading.
PATRICK MALONE is a first year student. He is 19 years old and comes from Garstang, near Preston. Before coming to Cliff he did a gap year at the Oaks, a Christian Holiday Centre for 8-18 year olds in Sheffield. He enjoys sports and music. He can play the piano, organ and the flute and is good at working with children.
